I didn't set out to be a copywriter, I'd say I fell into it. Fresh out of university, I landed my first job at an educational software company writing copy for their direct mail campaigns, sales emails and promotional material.
This is when I truly fell in love with the power of words and how I could use words to persuade people to sign up to the company's product.
I later went on to do a Diploma in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and learnt how to apply various marketing techniques to help businesses and brands promote their product or service.
I use words to persuade and inform people
I've spent the last 15 years working with companies of various sectors from education and housing, to charities and small start ups.
Now, I spend my days writing copy for website landing pages, newsletters, social media, promotional emails and marketing material for brands helping them to get noticed by their target market.
I started freelance copywriting in 2022 following the birth of my daughter. Freelancing helps me to create a more flexible working lifestyle that fits around my family, so that we can savour every moment of our time together.
Beyond the words
When I’m not writing, I can be found enjoying long walks in parks and woodlands with my family. We love the outdoors.
